Communications & Outreach

The City of Canton’s Department of Communications and Outreach is tasked with developing and executing the City of Canton’s external communication strategy, coordinating and supporting internal communications for the City, develop and execute the City’s refreshed marketing and branding program, including the new website, coordinating and managing special events programming and permitting, developing and growing community event spaces, including the Historic Canton Theatre, and ensuring cohesiveness between special community outreach programs who receive Hotel/Motel Tax.

In addition to creating news releases, newsletters and reports, the department routinely handles all non-public safety press inquiries.

Communications and Outreach is also responsible for coordinating and producing the City of Canton’s promotional materials and maintains the City’s web presence through this site, plus the city’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
